CAMBRIDGE TUTORS COLLEGE

A-levels and GCSE, Tutorial, Home stay, Mixed

Cambridge Tutors College is a non-boarding tutorial college for about 330 boys and girls located in the tranquil town of Croydon, 20 minutes by fast train from Victoria Station, London. It was founded by a group of Cambridge University graduates more than fifty years ago under an education charity trust; hence its name.  The College offers a nurturing, demanding, supportive and stimulating environment in which staff and students work closely together to ensure that each student achieves his or her full potential.  Each student is assigned a personal tutor who meets his/her students regularly to discuss their progress and needs.

Teaching is in small classes of no more than nine students.  This allows close attention to be paid to the particular needs of each individual student.  As a result of excellent teaching and rigorous monitoring of each student's academic progress, we produce consistently outstanding results

Students stay with host families, which have been especially selected by an Accommodation Officer who keeps a constant tap on the host's performance. Host families provide single bedroom, breakfast and dinner all seven days of the week, and lunch as well on Saturday and Sunday. They do the students' laundry too. On all school days from Monday to Friday, students eat lunch in the College. Home stay gives students the invaluable experience of learning to live away from the sheltered comforts of their own home in a different culture and environment. It also helps them to develop interpersonal and social skills as well as to learn to be independent and street smart, while still having the benefit of their guardians' guidance, in a homely atmosphere in a safe small town.

The College has built up a strong reputation for getting students into top medical and law schools as well as to Oxford and Cambridge, LSE, UCL and Imperial and King's College.

Cambridge Tutors College runs a one-year GCSE course, a 2-year A-Level course, an intensive 1-year A-Level course (for very talented students and students who have completed JC1 work), all starting in September, and a special 18-month A-Level course starting in January each year.

Tuition fees inclusive of home-stay for 2020/21 are £31,920 per year.
